The detection p rinciple, function and characteristics of the vibratory ladle slag-carry-over detection system used in the slab continuous caster of Bayuquan Iron &Steel Subsidiary Company of Angang Steel Co., Ltd. are introduced. The practice results show that the system operate stably and the overall efficiency of the ladle slag-carry-over detection system is more than 97% and the number of the ladles whose weight fluctuation in tundish is in the range of ±1 t molten steel covers over 98%.
