By analyzing the stability of external pressure of the 10000 m3 vacuum spherical tank without strengthening ribs and with different strengthening ribs,then comparing with the expense of the different constructions,reaching a conclusion that designing a 10000 m3 vacuum spherical tank without stiffening ribs is a better plan than designing with ribs;elaborating finite element analysis results of external pressure of this spherical tank.
