骨髓抑制是恶性肿瘤（化学治疗）化疗后常见并发症之一，临床中常常影响治疗的进行，现代医学应用集落刺激因子（CSF）、血小板生成素（TPO）等取得一定疗效，但价格和其不稳定性临床受限，周永明教授具有深厚的中医功底及扎实的西医理论，应用中医理论联系现代免疫学研究，中西医结合，系统总结出健运脾胃，补益肝肾；调理脏腑，促进排泄；解毒祛邪，有利正复；辨病辨证，遣方选药；结合药理调节免疫等治法，在此指导下，应用中医药方药治疗化疗后骨髓抑制，常用方药有：香砂六君子汤、六味地黄丸、逍遥散、圣愈汤、泻白散，白花蛇舌草、半枝莲、连翘、车前子、鸡血藤、丹参等，效果显著，值得推广。
