藩府刊刻的图书数量众多、品质精良，成为明代刻书的一个显著特色，其中编刻的医学典籍多达50余种。明代各地宗藩，或源于自身羸弱，或忧于孝亲疾患，或避难韬光养晦，或心存济世惠民，时常亲自主持编纂医著，或授命府中良医辑录方药，或资助名医刊刻验方。明代藩府所编刻的医籍，校勘精审，刻雕精细，不少已经成为当今的珍本、善本。这对于传统医药文化的传承、发展起到积极的推动、促进作用。
번부간각적도서수량음다、품질정량，성위명대각서적일개현저특색，기중편각적의학전적다체50여충。명대각지종번，혹원우자신리약，혹우우효친질환，혹피난도광양회，혹심존제세혜민，시상친자주지편찬의저，혹수명부중량의집록방약，혹자조명의간각험방。명대번부소편각적의적，교감정심，각조정세，불소이경성위당금적진본、선본。저대우전통의약문화적전승、발전기도적겁적추동、촉진작용。
Thereweremanypublicationsbysuzerain-vassalsintheMingDynastyofhighquality, which became a prominent feature of the carved works in the Ming Dynasty,and about 50 kinds of medical works were included.The suzerain-vassals could be poor in health,worried about the healthy conditions of people,escaped from social troubles but be very capable and did the good to society.They edited many medi-cal works,ordered imperial doctor compile herbs,and helped the famous physician publishing the herbal pre-scriptions.The medical books printed,collated carefully and carved meticulously,already become today′s rare books and reliable text.All these play a positive role for the heritage and development of traditional medicine culture.
