管理培训生项目在我国正受到愈发的关注,许多酒店专业的毕业生将其作为就业首选。然而,酒店专业学生对管理培训生的相关制度缺乏了解,就业预期与现实之间存在差异。通过对广州部分高校酒店管理专业学生进行问卷调查,获得酒店管理本科生对管培生的预期与看法,同时对国际酒店集团管培生项目参与者进行半结构化访谈还原真实的管培生项目。将两者对比,最终得出酒店管理本科生对管培生制度的预期与现实差异,从而为有意选择该岗位的酒店专业学生提供借鉴,并指出现行制度存在的问题与不足。结果显示:差异主要体现在发展诉求、身份诉求及补偿诉求三方面。它们分别对应着现行管培生制度中机制缺失或执行不力,伴随着行业客观限制与参与者主观能动性差异。针对这些问题,建议可从弥合差异与调整预期两方面着手,并提供了具体的改善建议。

With the development of Hotel Industry and Hospitality Education in China,Management Trainee Program (MTP) was gradually drawing great attention,and many of graduates from Hospitality Management took it as the first choice of employ-ment.However,the undergraduates had little knowledge of it,and there was difference between undergraduates’expectation and reality.The purpose of the study was to investigate and identify differences between MTP of international hotel groups and under-graduates’expectation about it.In addition,other important findings and solutions were raised.With the findings,the study hoped to provide undergraduates from Hospitality Management with references in choosing careers,furthermore,help interna-tional hotel groups do better in MTP.A survey instrument was used to gather data from undergraduates from Hospitality Man-agement in Guangzhou,and collected information about MTP through official websites of international hotel groups and interviews with some participants.According to the results,there were 3 main differences between MTP and undergraduates’expectations that were development demand,identity seeking and compensation claim.They were caused in part by the inherent defects of MTP,and poor implementation.To solve these problems,the study proposed 2 solutions:bridging the differences and adj usting undergraduates’expectations.Besides,there are other solutions for improvement of MTP.
