人教社高中物理教材中引用的物理学家丁肇中的一句名言“实验可以推翻理论，而理论永远无法推翻实验”引起不少学生质疑。本文论述为什么理论永远无法推翻实验，解答学生疑惑。希望唤起中学物理教师对物理实验的重视，纠正一些中学教师关于“实验是辅助理论学习的”的错误认识。

In PEP high school physics textbook , there is a famous saying spoken by Ding Zhao zhong ,"Experiment can overturn the theory ,but the theory can never overturn experiment",leads many students to question .In this paper ,we discuss why the theory can never overturn the experiment to answer students'doubts .We wish the high school physics teachers can draw attention to the physics experiments ,and correct some wrong understanding on"experiment are just a means of learning theory".
