Flotation experiment was carried out to upgrade magnesite from Jimei of Liaoning province. With hydrochloric acid and sodium hexametaphosphate as regulators, and LKD as collector, a single reverse-flotation flowsheet consisting of single-stage roughing and three-stage cleaning was adopted, resulting in a magnesite product with MgO grade of 97.24%and SiO2 content of 0.28%.
