Objective:To investigate the influence of surface electromyographic biofeedback therapy on genu recurvatum and lower extremity motor function of hemiplegic patients. Methods:46 cases of patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, the control group treat-ed by conventional physiotherapy, while the treatment group by surface electromyographic biofeedback therapy for genu recurvatum that based on the treatment of control group, and compared the improvement of lower extremity motor function, activities of daily living and walking speed. Re-sults:The effective rate of improving genu recurvatum in treatment group was higher than that in control group (P<0.05);the lower extremity motor function, activities of daily living and walking speed of patients in two groups were all improved, but the improvement of treatment group was better than control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Surface electromyographic biofeedback therapy can significantly improve the genu recurvatum and walk-ing ability of hemiplegic patients.
