As microorganisms growth clogged the diaphragm and seriously affected normal production of water demineralization, the agent addition process was optimized after detailed analysis. At different stages of water demineralization the agent addition condition was im-proved according to water sources and quality, process and equipment characteristics. The bottleneck of diaphragm clogging by microorganisms affecting production was overcome and the service life of diaphragm was effectively prolonged.
