Attractive areas between cities are essential for spatial economy and development. Based on the theories of spatial interaction and city-size distribution, the article analyzes the comprehensive strengths of eight cities Wanjiang City Belt so as to define the attractive area of each city. It also discusses the influence of Nanjing attractive areas in Nanjing, explains the relation and difference between attractive areas and administrative regions, and provides relevant suggestions with regards to the development strategy of cities within different attractive areas.
