Research progresses in modification and molding process of phenolic molding compounds were reviewed. The main methods of modification of phenolic molding compounds include matrix resins and filling modification. Matrix modification can be subdivided into structural modification, copolymerization modification and blending modification. The main molding processes of phenolic molding compounds were introduced,including compression molding process and injection molding process. The effects of post-curing treatment on the performance of the product were analyzed,and the future development trend of phenolic molding compound was prospected.
