The development status of mashgas sensor was introduced.The system sturctures, basic principles, strong points and weak points of current optical fiber gas sensors were analyzed and compared. In view of the defects of the existing gas sensors, one kind of new optical fiber grating gas sensor design was proposed. Finally, the development direction of mashgas sensor was predicted.
