该研究调查了“阅读以消遣”、“阅读以了解语篇”、“阅读以理解语篇”三种不同的阅读目的对非英语专业大学生的词汇附带习得的影响，并借助SPSS12.0统计软件对受试者的词汇附带习得结果进行了描述性统计及单因素方差分析。结果表明：受试者能够通过以上三种目的在阅读时附带习得一定数量的词汇；不同的阅读目的对词汇附带习得有不同的影响；受试者不同的阅读能力也对其词汇附带习得结果产生了不同影响，而且从不同的阅读目的所引起的语篇信息处理程度上的差异等方面对实验结果进行了阐释。

In this study, three common reading purposes are focused on with the aim of investigating the impact of reading pur-pose on incidental vocabulary acquisition of Chinese English learners. And the results are analyzed by SPSS 12.0. The results man-ifest that Chinese college English learners do incidentally acquire a certain number of words through reading; the number of words they incidentally learned vary with different reading purposes;different reading abilities of the subjects do have different im-pacts on their incidental word learning. The author tries to explain the results from the perspective of the different levels of text information processing elicited by the different reading purposes.
