大学生党员教育管理工作对确保大学生党员质量、发挥大学生党员的先锋模范作用有着重要的作用。在研究高职高专院校大学生党员教育管理工作弱化现状及其原因的基础上，桂林师范高等专科学校从结合学校中心工作的角度，对大学生党员进行设岗定责，进一步明确了大学生党员的服务义务，促使大学生党建工作向更加务实的方向发展。
