The technology of infrared imaging leak testing, with its particular good performance, is likely to be widely applied in spacecraft leak testing. The basic principles, characteristics and potential applications of several infrared leak testing methods are analyzed, including the infrared absorbing gas imaging leak testing, the infrared ultrasonic wave leak testing, and the infrared thermal imaging leak testing, together with application examples. Some techniques and approaches are put forward for implementing these infrared imaging leak testing methods.
