增殖细胞核抗原（ PCNA）对真核生物的DNA复制是必需的，并通过提高DNA聚合酶的持续合成能力发挥作用。在真核生物中，PCNA以同源三聚体环的形式存在，为参与DNA复制、DNA损伤修复、染色质组装、细胞周期调控等生理过程的蛋白质因子提供结合平台，使这些蛋白因子与它们的底物相互作用。本文主要就PCNA的功能和结构进行综述。

Proliferating cell nuclear antigen ( PCNA ) is essential for eukaryotic DNA replication and functions as a processivity factor of DNA polymerase .PCNA is a homotrimer in eukaryotes that encircles DNA,providing a platform for the association of a wide variety of DNA-processing enzymes that utilize the PCNA sliding clamp to maintain proximity to their DNA substrates in DNA replication , DNA repair , chromatin remodeling and cell cycle regulation .This review mainly focuses on function and structure of PCNA.
