The training objective of sports training major should be based on the specialized catalogue listed by the State Ministry of Education and conform with the six standards namely :the social need ,the standard of the major ,the source of the students ,the school’s condition and scale ,the guidance of policy and the setting of the program .This ma-jor requires the combination of competition with scientific research ,the setting of program with social need ,the schooling management with mass sports and the specialized training with the teachers’ training .In terms of the development con-ception ,it requires us to reform the present training pattern and specify the regulation ,adjust the standard as well as im-prove the quality of the teaching staff and make innovations to the curricular system .The principle and the goal of this major is seek innovations in standard training ,seek development in innovation and seek harmony in development .
