In this paper a method of optimization of automobile fuel economy based on driveline was presented. In or-der to improve automobile fuel economy on common driving conditions, it explore optimal gear ratio under the condition satisfying power. A model and constrained condition was build. Then a demonstration was explained, and elucidated by measured fuel economy. Finally,practical application was researched.
