Skid resistance is one of the most important indexes for sole function, and has a great signif-icance for safety and comfort of wearing shoes. This article emphatically analyzed the factors which in-fluenced static skid resistance for sole. Under two conditions between wet and dry, by testing the static friction coefficient to characterise the skid resistance of various materials, rationalization proposals were propounded for choosing proper shoes on different occasions.
