The paper makes an introduction the working principle, features and applications etc. of infrared tempera-ture measuring probe,expounds the characteristics of repeated failures of infrared temperature measuring probes at Longtan hydropower station and puts forward targeted improvement method through comprehensive analysis. A step-by-step implementation method is adopted in eliminating the defects on infrared temperature measuring probes in consideration of work quantity,economic investment and effectiveness during on-site improvement.
