Five sediment samples inside and outside of the pilot zone in the North bay of Dianchi lake were collect-ed to test the distribution of phosphorus.The vertical distribution of phosphorus as well as itsformation was identi-fied and compared to each other according tothe results of total phosphorus (TP),inorganic phosphorus (IP)and organic-Phosphate (Org-P).The results showed that thepilot project worked well to reduce the content of phos-phorus significantly in sediments inside of the pilot zone.
