There is chlorine output during cobalt electrowinning in cobalt chloride system .To solve the problem ,the electrolytic cell is improved .The some problems for the electrolytic cell improved are analyzed .And the development direction of electrodeposition technology of cobalt is prospected .This paper pointed out that membrane electrolysis technology would play an important role in the metallurgical industry in the future .
