The methods and latest research progresses of recovering silver from zinc leaching residue are summarized .T he principle ,advantages and disadvantages of these methods are introduced .T he research and application of beneficiation-metallurgy combination process for recovery silver should be strengthened based on the present technology ,the combination process of flotation-reduction roasting-magnetic separation and other new processes applied to recover silver and other valuable metals are the research direction for recovery of silver from zinc leaching residue .
