Objective To study the differences in CD4+CD2+5 Treg in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid between drug-resistant tuberculosis patients and non-drug-resistant tuberculosis patients. Methods Flow cytometry was ap-plied to detect the expression percentage of CD4+CD2+5 Treg in peripheral blood and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of drug-resistant tuberculosis patients (n=40), non-drug-resistant tuberculosis patients (n=40), and healthy people ( n=50 ) . The differences were observed and compared among the three groups. Results The percentage of CD4+CD2+5 Treg of peripheral blood in the drug-resistant group accounted for (15. 50 ± 1. 49)%, (11. 62 ± 2. 34)%in the non-drug-resistant group, and (6. 74 ± 2. 13)% in the control group, with statistical differences among the three groups (P<0.05). The percentage of CD4+CD2+5Treg of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid in the drug-resistant group accounted for (19. 33 ± 2. 15)% and (15. 56 ± 1. 98)% in the non-drug-resistant group (P<0. 05). Conclusion Treg cells play an important role in the immunosuppressive response at the local disease sites of patients with drug-re-sistant tuberculosis. It may be involved in the formation of the mechanism of drug-resistant.
