As an admirer and successor of Marshal Chen Yi, with his deep reverence and memory, the author analyzed the qualities and feelings displayed in the poems composed during Chen Yi’s revolutionary career, which were a sense of historical mission of being loyal to the Motherland, lofty sentiments of civilian supremacy, an exemplary conduct and noble character of being broad-minded toward others and strict self-discipline and a diplomatic philosophy of good neighborly friendship and mutual respect.
