The project involved in this paper belongs to the field of ferrous metallurgy. R&D background of P91 tube for high pressure boilers was introduced and innovative achievements were described. Upon finish of the project, new products were proved with stable performance and quality which exceed their counterparts both at home and abroad. They have been sold in domestic and overseas markets and enjoyed good reputations.
