番木瓜是有广阔发展前景的热带特色果树，其产业规模越来越大。通过对1994～2012年间SCI-Expanded(简称SCI-E)数据库收录的中国番木瓜(Papaya)排名靠前机构的相关文献的出版年、引文、语种、文献类型、基金资助机构、组织扩展(发文机构)、作者、类别(学科)和研究方向等方面内容的检索、统计分析，所得数据与世界同期的相比较，揭示中国番木瓜主要科研机构科研现状和特点。

Papaya is a characteristic of tropical fruit trees, papaya industry in China steadily developed recently. The scientific research status and characteristics in main scientific research institution for papaya in China are revealed based on searching, counting and analyzing the year of publication, language, document type, funding agencies, organization expansion (publishing organizations), author and category (discipline) and research area about papaya in main scientific research institution in China in the SCI-Expanded database during the period of 1994-2012 and comparing with the literature about papaya in the world by the 1994~2012 SCI-Expanded (SCI-E).
