Polyploid breeding as an important means of rubber tree breeding, which has caused widespread concern and a great deal of research. Here we review the literature regarding mechanisms and pathways of polyploid formation in rubber tree, discuss the problems of rubber trees polyploid breeding and propose the future prospects of research, may will be useful for future research.
