Dryland maize cultivation is directly affected by the moisture. This paper expounds on the water absorption characteristics of maize, the relationship between evapotranspiration and yield, and the relationship between the moisture and the planting modes, aiming to find out the basis for the guiding maize production, and boosting progress in maize cultivation techniques and maize research.
