回顾60多年我国金属制品产业发展的历程，虽然我国建立了世界金属制品大国的地位，但还存在着行业整体状况依然落后于发达国家，产业集中度低，规模化经济效应难以发挥，低端产品比率依然很高，产业结构优化任务繁重，劳动生产率过低等问题。明确装备水平更加先进，生产制造技术更加精熟，主导产品高端发展，是推动金属制品行业可持续发展的几个主方向。金属制品行业随着2013、14年钢铁市场的金融危机，面临前所未有的挑战。宝钢集团新疆八一钢铁有限公司金属制品制品分厂作为新疆疆内最大的制品企业之一，承担着更大更艰巨的压力。
