本文总结了毛坪铅锌矿床产出的区域地质背景、地层、构造、岩浆岩等条件和矿床地质特征，提出该矿床严格受构造和岩性控制，是在区域构造驱动下，深源流体与盆地流体发生大规模运移和混合的结果；该矿床与典型MVT型铅锌矿床在成矿地质背景、矿石矿物组合、围岩及蚀变等方面有较大相似性，但在矿体产状、矿石品位、构造控制等方面又有区别，可能是一种特殊的MVT矿床。
