In this article ,a novel geodesic biconical antenna that can point a beam to any direction of azimuth is proposed ,w hich has a bright application future .Combining geometric optics and geodesic theory ,based on the analysis of the antenna ,this thesis mainly focuses on the problem of the radial transmission route on the surface of column and respectively calcu-lates the radiation pattern of the antenna on the one port and two ports feeded in .On the ba-sis of the research ,this thesis devises a noval geodesic biconical antenna working between 6-8 G Hz.Furthermore ,concrete structure and size of the antenna have been put out .Academic results are appropriately coincident with experimental results in the thesis ,which manifests the application of geometric optics in the analysis and design of the antenna .
