Since Life of Pi , a novel of a Canadian writer , Yang martel, was published , it has received great publicity and endless awards .What the novel extends are two vivid themes:religion and survival , furthermore , the unique religious perspective is the deep -rooted reason why the major role can conquer the horror of the nature and at length survive .The analysis is constructed very thoroughly in three aspects from the angle of magical realism , complete with the mysterious and unique religious perspective of the hero , the dream-like images filled with fancy ideas and the curious fabled narrative technique .
