高等学校大型贵重仪器设备投资数量虽少金额却很巨大，提高其投资效益是提高仪器设备整体投资效益的关键所在。目前大型贵重仪器设备利用率低下，资源闲置浪费的现象较为严重，因此，促进大型贵重仪器设备开放共享有着非常重要的现实意义。北京理工大学在大型贵重仪器设备开放共享平台的构建上进行了积极的探索，按照明晰的建设目标和思路，采取了适合本校实际情况的建设举措，并取得了较显著的建设效果。
