超额翻译和欠额翻译是翻译中不可避免的现象。语言与文化上的差异无法回答其多样性的问题。超额翻译与欠额翻译是产生于翻译过程中的、由译者的心理活动决定的翻译现象，其多样性源于译者的认知因素和对翻译过程的操控。

It is inevitable that over -translation and under -translation exist , but the differences between cultures and langua-ges can not respond to the diversity of them .Over-translation and under -translation come in the translating process , determined by the translator ’ s cognitive process , so the diversity comes from the translator ’ s cognitive factors and the meta -cognitive control of the translating process .
