As a free, innovative teaching model, the graduate students' summer school taps three educational resources, namely, quality teachers, outstanding students, superior academic disciplines, to cultivate students' creativity and innovativeness in order to improve the quality of graduate education and research level. Researches show that graduate students' summer school has produced good effects and has been highly acclaimed by teachers and students. This practice plays an important role in expanding the student's academic vision and deepening their understanding of their academic fields. Its innovativeness in education and the teaching mode will have a direct impact in the future. Therefore, we need to realize principles of “innovativeness, practicality, communicativeness, and depth” in providing summer school education to graduate students.
