To accurately reflect the entire waveform of very fast transient over-voltage (VFTO) during opera-tion of disconnect switches, a multiple-restrike model of UHV GIS disconnecting switches including several dynamic factors such as breakdown voltage, arcing resistance and fracture capacitance is built, providing ideas for investigating VFTO with multiple restrikes of simulated disconnecting switches.
