“玻璃天花板”效应是指虽然公司高层的职位对某个群体来说并非遥不可及,却无法真正接近。“玻璃天花板”是女性职业发展中一道很难突破的屏障。对此,全球许多专家学者都在关注和研究,进行了大量的调查统计工作,分析形成这种现象的原因,试图消除这一现象,但始终没有破解的良策。事实上,对“玻璃天花板”效应的突破还是要从组织行为开始,重塑观念,彻底突破对女性员工认识上的思维定势;顶层设计,从战略上规划女性员工的人才开发;机会均等,给予女性员工同等而持续的培训;建立法制,为女性员工发展铸造尚方宝剑。而在最终的意义上,解决这一问题取决于社会生产力的高度发展,以及由此带来的社会全面进步。

“Glass-ceiling” effect refers to a fact that a certain top position in a company seems to be in the easy reach for a group of people but in fact is impossible to be reached .This effect has shaped a major bar-rier for women in their career development , and this phenomenon has drawn attention of scholars and experts globally .Researches and statistical works have been carried out in order to find a way to explain this phenome -non and hence to solve it but has failed so far .In fact, a breakthrough in the “glass-ceiling” effect is to start with the organizational behavior , reshape the organizational notion and break the mind -set about female em-ployees.Then, female employee development is to be redesigned strategically by the top managers of the com-pany.Thirdly, female employees are supposed to enjoy the equal opportunities and continuous training .Be-sides, to adopt sound legislative measures will ensure the career development for female employees .Funda-mentally, the settlement of this problem largely depends on the development of social productivity and the so -cial progress thereafter brought forth .
