The poison is one of important reasons to cause C3 fraction liquid phase hydrogenation catalyst deactivation. In this paper, the reaction and the process of C3 fraction liquid phase hydrogenation were introduced. The impact of arsenic, sulfur, water, heavy metals on C3 fraction hydrogenation catalyst was discussed as well as the removal methods of these poisons. The results show that, to better control the poison in the feedstock of C3 hydrogenation reactor can slow down the decrease of catalyst activity, prolong the service life.
