There has been much debate on the topic of College English teaching in China. With the development in col ege English teaching, high standard teaching is essential.I state a lot of problems that exist in the university. I also put forward some suggestions learned from the two theories to improve the col ege language teaching quality and make students achieve the balance of language competence.
