As a new type of shear connector, PBL shear connector has high shear resistance. The failure mechanism of the PBL shear connector is described, and the influence of the factors which include concrete strength, diameter and number of connector holes, cross-sectional area of the end of the connector, diameter and strength of transverse rebar on the bearing capacity of PBL shear connector is analyzed. In addition, according to the test results, the equations for pre-dicting the ultimate bearing capacity of PBL shear connector with and without considering end bearing effect are put for-ward.
