在媒体轰炸的时代，新闻已经成了我们日常生活的重要的组成部分。修辞篇章（ rhetorical discourse ）具有五个特点：计划性、适切受众、动机性、反应性和适切形势。新闻报道符合修辞篇章的特点。新闻篇章的特点是“自我韬晦”、适切受众、反应性和追求说服受众。在全球化的今天把握新闻篇章的特点，有助于提升中国对外报道的有效性。

In the media bombardment age , news has become an important part of our daily lives .Rhetorical discourse charac-teristically is planned, adapted to the audience, shaped by human motives, responsive to a situation, and persuasion-seeking,the features of which are also suitable to news reports .The features of news reports are concluded as follows:self-effacement or sprez-zatura, adaption to the audience , responsiveness to a situation and pursuit of persuasion to the audience .In the current highly -globalised world , it is imperative to understand and master the characteristics of news discourse to improve the effectiveness in the o -verseas reports .
