When the oil fields step into the latter high water cut stage, how to better explore the remaining oil is an important aspect of increasing oilfield production. Daqing oilfield is dominated by fluvial-delta facies, therefore, how to better explore the remaining oil formed by the block of channel interlayer is the main direction of oilfield development in the future. In order to find the specific distribution of the remaining oil, based on the establishment of internal structure mode of braided channel, guiding by present depo-sition model and ancient deposition outcrop, and combined with core, logging curve, dense well pattern and so on, a set of research method of braided channel interlayer distribution characteristics was established. Through the evaluation of thickness, density and distribution parameters of interlayer, internal structure mode of the channel was established to provide technical support for seek-ing the remaining oil formed by the block of channel interlayer and put forward the suitable method for exploring the remaining oil in the study area.
