The background and actual situation that China’s chlor-alkali enterprises prevented and controlled mercury pollution were indicated .Measures taken by China’s chlor-alkali enterpri-ses to prevent and control mercury pollution were listed .Experience and suggestions about reducing mercury pollution were proposed .Factors of influencing the generalization of low-mercury-content catalysts were analyzed as well as the solving methods ,and the effects of mercury pollution preven-tion were estimated .
