骨细胞是骨组织中含量最丰富、存活时间最长的细胞。通过细胞突触,骨细胞保持了彼此间以及与骨基质表面其他类型细胞的联系,构成了动态的、功能活跃的骨稳态细胞调控网络。骨细胞可以直接感受机械刺激,将其转化为生化信号并传递到其他细胞,同时,骨细胞还可分泌多种功能蛋白,协同指导骨重建。骨细胞是骨组织中信号传递的桥梁枢纽,也是体内矿物平衡和胞外微环境的重要调节者。完整的骨细胞网络结构是维持骨组织正常功能的关键。

Osteocytes are the most abundant and longest-surviving cells in bone tissue .Through cell syn-apses, osteocytes keep in contact with each other and with other types of cells on bone matrix surface , constituting a dynamic and active cell regulation network in bone homeostasis .Osteocytes can directly sense mechanical stimulus , translate it into biochemical signals and send to other cells .In addition , os-teocytes can mediate bone remodeling by secreting a variety of cytokines .In summary , it is indicated that osteocytes play a crucial role in skeletal mechanotransduction , and they also act as the major regulator re-sponsible for skeletal metabolic balance and microenvironment homeostasis .The integrated network of os-teocytes is essential to maintain the normal function of bone tissue .
