The traditional production process of causticizing and lime mud recovery in alkali recovery systems and industrial calcium carbonate production principle and method were explained, and comparative analysis on large scale industrial production method of industrial calcium carbonate with the similarities and differences of the traditional alkali recovery causticizing and lime mud recovery was conducted in this paper. The feasibility and integrated beneifts of integration of disposal of lime mud from alkali recovery causticizing and industrial precipitated calcium carbonate production technology were illustrated with introducing ATM-WPCC new causticizing process and the comprehensive utilization technology of lime mud to be used to produce calcium carbonate.
