亲子阅读，在为父母创造与孩子沟通的机会，分享读书的感动和乐趣的同时，更能让孩子在阅读过程中养成良好的阅读习惯，增强对学习知识的乐趣。此外，通过亲子阅读能促进融洽的亲子关系，进而营造良好的家庭教育氛围。因而，亲子阅读是少儿图书馆所引导的阅读模式之一，通过英文原版绘本促进亲子阅读是一项新的尝试，对于发展亲子阅读模式有着很好的推动作用。
