中国人的道德底线直到目前为止仍然是传统的血缘亲情原则和家族等级原则,它在当代的陌生人社会中已经暴露出了极端的不适应,成为官员腐败、环境污染、毒食品泛滥、以邻为壑等丑恶现象的文化根源和心理上的护身符,也导致了中国人在面对国际社会不能通过能效谈判达成共赢。这种不适应,主要在于中国传统“三纲五常”、“五伦六纪”的族群狭隘性和自然情感的非理性、无反思的本性,它妨碍我们接受国际通行并在正常的公民社会中行之有效的一整套普世价值原则,总觉得那种原则是某些敌对族群的阴谋诡计。所以,我们今天除了在制度改革上要进一步深化外,还必须花大力气在思想意识中提升自己的道德境界,用人所皆有、人所固有的理性思维重建我们的道德底线。

Up to now , the bottom line of Chinese morality is still the traditional Confucian ethical princi-ple based on filial obedience , kinship and rigid paternal hierarchy .This principle does not adapt to the society of contemporary China which is constituted by individuals normally as strangers to each other .It has not only been the cultural and psychological origin of corrupting government officials , manufacturers who commit envi-ronmental pollution , toxic food providers without compunction and unsympathetic passerby , but also a major cause for Chinese ’ s failure to secure an all-win situation by negotiation on international affairs sometimes .It is the ethnic narrowness of traditional Chinese morality and the irrational , unreflective nature of natural filial affections that causes its unfitness to modern society and hinders us from accepting a whole set of principles of universal values , which actually are internationally accepted already and widely embraced by all normal civil societies.Thus, besides deepening the institutional reform , we ought to take substantial effort to criticize our inner moral consciousness and re -establish the bottom line of morality by using our innate ability of rational thinking as human beings .
