This experiment was carried out with the single factor randomized block design ,which studied the effect of N,P,K on root yield, nutrient absorption and baicalin content of Scutellaria baicalensis by field plot experi-ment.The amount of N,P2O5,K2O in 0-225,0-270,0-270 kg/ha,the root yield of Scutellaria baicalensis in-creased with increasing application amount of nitrogen ,phosphorus and potassium fertilizer .The nitrogen fertilization had the most significant effect on increasing yields of Scutellaria baicalensis, and compared with no nitrogen treat-ment,the yield of treatment with nitrogen increased 73.61%-105.10%.when the N,P2O5,K2O application were respectively 225,270,270 kg/ha,root yield of Scutellaria baicalensis were 7 158.00 -7 403.55 kg/ha,baicalin concent were 9.92%-11.24%and exceeded the regulation standards of 9.0%of Chinese pharmacopoeia .
