THz波介于微波和红外之间,其所处的特殊频段使其具有很多优越的特性,具有频带宽、波长短、信息容量大等特点。在军事应用上,太赫兹探测技术具有较强的反隐身能力和目标识别能力。但是,由于太赫兹频段在大气中衰减比较严重,除几个特定的大气窗口外,以目前的技术要实现在大气层内的太赫兹超宽带雷达系统是不现实的。太赫兹波在外太空的无损传播特性,使得其在空间攻防对抗方面将有着及其巨大的应用前景。作为太赫兹雷达系统研制的总体设计、指标论证的前提,目标的太赫兹散射特性必须进行预先研究。文章主要介绍国外的典型太赫兹波目标RCS测量系统组成及其技术特点,以及本单位在太赫兹RCS测量研究中所取得的成果和开展的主要工作。

Terahertz is located between microwave and infrared,which has many excellent features because of its special wave band. Terahertz has many characters,such as broad frequency band,short wavelength and large information capacity, etc. Terahertz detection technique has strong anti stealth and target recognition abilities in the military application. However, due to the serious attenuation of terahertz wave bands in the atmosphere,it is impractical to achieve the terahertz ultra wide-band radar system in the atmosphere except several particular atmospheric windows. Terahertz’s lossless propagation charac-ter in outer space makes it has huge application prospects in space attack-defense confrontation. On the premise of the overall design and index demonstration of terahertz radar system development,target terahertz scattering characteristics have to be researched first. This article makes a review about the typical terahertz RCS measurement systems and their technical charac-ters,and then presents our capacities and works on terahertz RCS measurement.
